Some of our new favorite things...I've started noticing Trey using critical thinking skills, instead of just randomly doing something smart, but not quite learning it yet. A lot of times when he's playing quietly I'll look over and notice he's flipping through some of his favorite books, but he's started moving his mouth while he'll flipping thru like he's reading the words. As his Tia would say, "He's smart as a tack!" :)
He walked over to the pantry the other day as I expected him to start pulling everything out--there was a lot on his level, but instead he sorta searches around then spots his tin of maple sticks (his snack of choice), grabs it, then proceeds to pry the lid off and grab himself a treat! haha--amazing!
As we sit here I'm watching him play his drum (formerly known as the formula can:) ) What a joy it is to have the privilege to watch him grow and develop by leaps and bounds every single day! Trey, I adore being your Mommy!

I was itching to see the house on Wednesday even though I figured they wouldn't have gotten much done after the holiday weekend. But much to my surprise, there was all kinds of awesomeness going on! The hardwood was being put in, the lighting was in, the outlets and switches were all in, and the biggest surprise of all was the granite in the kitchen! The guy had just called me that morning to tell me he'd flagged the two slabs for us, and low and behold they were like little granite ninjas! Oh, and you'll see a pic from last weekend--we have landscaping too!

We took our sweet baby boy to the Children's Museum on Friday night, and he loved it!!! It was pretty big and really cool:) We're looking forward to going back--to be members or not to be members, that is the question. Here he is with, of course, a ball--he can smell a ball from a mile away. He was out with all the big boys in this spot too, so it was a little scary having all those big'ns zooming all around him. We didn't stay there long;)

haha, 10 min. after we arrived, we were already ready for a snack break.

He's about to bust through the doors of the Tot Spot! Let the fun begin!

The ACC Baseball tourney was in G'boro this year, so Shaun was able to scoot out of work early last Thursday to catch a game with the fam. It was toasty, but God answered my specific prayers for shade and a seat on the end to accommodate our "Big Walker"! You can't stop a boy that wants to experiment with this new skill:)

"Look at me! I'm so big I can sit in my own chair!"
